Greetings fellow fans,

Brian Cruskett here, you may remember me from my days in the band “8th Wonder”, But more recently, and I would say succesfully, my solo career. I was recently a special guest on this show that these youths today call “The Spit”, I was slightly confused and bemuddled by the flashing lights on the buttons and the unusual sounds coming from the speakers whenever we would stop speaking, I believe Simon reffered to this as silence.

I was quite pleased with the answers I gave to their pre-school-esque type questions, clearly my favourite colour is blue and yes I can still count to 20, what were they going to ask me next? “What’s the time Mr Wolf?”, which reminds me My 13 disc compilation CD “Crusing With Cruskett” is available at most good Milk Bars and some local Markets. Also comes with Bonus DVD of me singing the classics whilst driving in my Automobile, special features include deleted scenes (including my controversial argument with the lass at the petrol station in Wonthaggi), 2 behind the scenes featurettes and a feature length commentary (Although I did fall asleep during the last 45 mins).

Two Jehovah’s Witnesses (in the plural: a murder of Jehovah’s Witnesses) just stopped by my house to talk about whether I thought peace on Earth was indeed possible.

I was polite and wished them a good day.

Special Top 10 Albums of the Year of our Lord 2006 next week, featuring: music, laughter, liquor, big game hunting, corpse burying, and a single man on a trumpet playing La Cucharacha. I’d insist that you join us, but with that build-up, I think you’d be hard pressed to resist the awesome Mariachi grooves.

As I grow through my vicious, some would say unnatural, warm-up regimen for today’s show (2-4pm on SYN 90.7 FM in Melbourne Metro. region), I am reminded that indeed it is only six days until we celebrate the day which Santa Claus first landed his spacecraft in the New Mexico desert some 59 years ago in order to spread love, goodwill, and a vicious new strain of a bacterial disease which causes bouts passive aggression and the unwaning, uncontrollable urge to max one’s credit limit on shiny new objects.

So whilst we all bunker in this afternoon, to listen to the superlative wit of Hagan Mathews and Dijana Kumurdian (and the highly deficit mental faculties of Simon Lilburn), let us all remember with much impetuousness the meaning of Christmas: to watch a bunch of strangers spear-tackle each other for overpriced, overbranded dicast plastic toys of the latest phenomenon to come out of the marketing room — all to say ‘I love you’. Cynics rejoice!

As the sunset of radio casts its evocative shadow over British Week, please direct your attentiveness to the noticable lack of Hagan Mathews in this week. Unfortunately previously engaged majestically taming wild stallions before dining with Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth the Second, he was unable to attend to-day’s programming. Lo! Fear not brave and gentle readers–he shall return in upcoming weeks. With scrumpets! And good manners!

But enough about Hagan secreting nothingness and radically nihilating his presence, for I wish to dedicate the rest of this post to wish Emma a fantastic trip and we bide her well on her trans-Atlantic journey to the British Empire where she will dine truffles with royalty, swim with the otters, visit many fascinating landmarks, cause several large parties, and just generally live it up with those Britons.
